By the third counter you’ve lost a morning and you still don’t know whether the price is fair. So you pick one, because you’re tired and the parcel has to go.

Sending documents abroad from Nepal

A transcript, a character certificate or a sealed envelope for credential evaluation weighs almost nothing, which makes it one of the cheapest things you can send. It’s also the only thing here you can’t replace, and it’s usually attached to a deadline that won’t move for you.

Send it tracked. Keep the waybill number somewhere you’ll actually find it again, and a photo on your phone does the job. If an admissions office says nothing arrived, that number is what settles it.

Why the prices differ so much

There’s no published tariff for sending a parcel out of Nepal. Rates shift by company, by destination, by weight band, and by how much space a carrier happens to have on that route this week. Two counters can quote the same box on the same afternoon and land far apart without either of them doing anything wrong. Their costs that day are simply different.

So the only way to know you’ve got a good price is to ask everyone, which is what used to eat the morning.
